God loves children. He loves all children.
Families in many forms these days.
The standard and ideal are a challenge
Quoting from Proclamation on the family that children have a right to be born in a family with two parents.
There are many who do not come from picture perfect families
tens of thousands of young men and women who embrace the gospel without a father or mother with them.
They become an important part of the church, missionaries, married in the temple
We will continue to teach the Lord's pattern for families but we must be more thoughtful and considerate.
Not all children have a father who comes home to be so glad about.
reminding us that not all kids come from the kind of backgrounds you sing about in Primary songs...
Need more sensitivity for those in different circumstances.
Insensitive teacher asked a teen about her parents not married in the temple.
Kid asked to give a talk in primary and had no parent to help him so he just stayed away from church for months.
Jesus received the little children and those who receive them receive Him.
Girl from Brazil who joined the church.
During the discussions she saw a picture of the Temple and learned of the sealing ordinances.
From that moment she had the desire to do that.
While family life may not be ideal, spiritual DNA is important
Help God's children understand what is genuine and important in this life - Pres. Monson
Boy in Colorado joined the church and told of being in homes of families that lived the gospel.
It showed him a standard he could have in his life.
Girl Europe saw that others had a light that came from faith in Jesus Christ

Some children wait years to be baptized. Leaders can reach out and strengthen testimony.

in 1984 he attended General Conference. He went to Palmyra.
Why the restoration here?
US Constitution guaranteed freedom.
Was in Palmyra. Visited Peter Whitmer farm. Asked missionary questions.
In the early 1800s the Canal was built to reach the Hudson and Great Lakes
There were many people who came to work in the canal.
There was a crowd to hear Joseph.
understood hand of God to prepare His plan.
Put Joseph in the midst of that religious confusion.
Joseph's first vision of the Father and the son.

Baptism by water is half a baptism wthout the baptism of the Holy Ghost
Baptism and the Holy Ghost are inseparably connected - Repentance
Nephi - The gate by which ye should enter is by baptism and the remission of sins - Repent and come unto me. to be sanctified by the Holy Ghost
Laying on of hands is an ordinance to be administered by the Melchizedek Priesthood
No unclean thing can dwell with God
We are blessed by our initial cleansing and ongoing cleansing through companionship of Holy Ghost
Farmer planting and harvesting. Follows the same patterns.
The inseparable connection between baptism and Holy Ghost should direct all actions through all life.
On Sunday we are to go to church and offer up our sacrifices and receive the Sacrament
To sanctify is to make pure and holy - quotes Sacrament prayer
So honor covenants to stand spotless before him at the last day.
Partaking of the Sacrament in and of itself does not remit since - broken heart and contrite spirit required.
We can always retain a remission of our sins.
Sometimes LDS express the wish that they would like to be baptized again.
We should not feel that just once in our lives -
Baptism is not a destination to visit over and over
The Sacrament is not isolated it is interrelated
Provide the Grace we need to progress line upon line and precept upon precept.
Requirements of his plan are glorious and rigorous.
Ordinances invite spiritual power into our lives - our weaknesses can be overcome
We can become increasingly worthy and spotless.

Family Council - always been needed - are eternal.
We participated when we lived with our heavenly parents.
